Haryana Energy, Transport and Labour Minister Anil Vij said that India has once again been awarded the hosting rights for the Commonwealth Games, which is a proud moment for the entire nation. He added that this achievement highlights India’s growing global stature and strong identity in the field of sports. Energy Minister was responding to questions asked by media persons today.
On India being chosen as the host nation, he said that we heartily welcome this announcement. Hosting the Commonwealth Games for the second time is a matter of great pride for India.
Expressing concern over the recent death of an athlete in Rohtak, Vij said that it is an extremely unfortunate incident. A thorough investigation must be conducted, and strict action should be taken against any officials found responsible for negligence.
